Join us for a powerful screening honoring Viktor Fainberg, one of eight courageous human rights activists who risked everything to protest the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. Through intimate interviews, archival footage, and striking illustrations, the film traces Viktor’s life from his childhood in Kharkiv to his fearless resistance against Soviet oppression and his tireless fight for human rights.
The evening will open with remarks by his daughter, Dr. Sarah-Masha Fainberg, Senior Researcher and Head of the Great Powers Research Program at Tel Aviv University’s Elrom Center for Air and Space Studies. A leading expert on Russian and Chinese policy in the MENA region, she also teaches in the university’s MA Program for Security and Diplomacy Studies.
An unforgettable tribute to courage, legacy, and the ongoing struggle for freedom.
