When an emergency strikes, and this one is unprecedented, the people take action, and ESRA, the home of English speakers in Israel, is among the first.
We are devoting our resources to meet the needs of communities in the south, as well as those of English-speaking Olim, while we continue our education projects for schoolchildren, university students, and special needs groups.

The revitalised ESRA Ramat Gan - Givatayim branch got off to a swinging start last ‎night when the standing room only crowd sang and swung to the jazzy tunes of ‎Pzazzband.

Karmiel members were enriched this week by the presentation by Dr Naomie Poran on the benefits of Quinoa and how it can help prevent a wide range of conditions.

In spite of the torrential downpours in January members of Jordan Valley Branch had a very enjoyable Games Evening in January. These Mah Jong mavens happily played in one corner 

ESRA’s 5th National Quiz held in November 2018 united the whole of the ESRA family for one night ‎when teams in 24 locations comprising almost 500 people enjoyed a fun and challenging evening.

The enticing smell of soup and hot dogs wafted around as cowboys in jeans, checkered shirts and Stetsons, and cowgals in skirts, white blouses and colored kerchiefs swaggered through the doors 

ESRA Karmiel branch raises money for a variety of causes, with the common thread that local young people benefit. 

Five Towns branch were treated to a fascinating evening in June given by Lyn Julius, author of ‘Uprooted’, her book describing how 3000 years of Jewish Civilization in Arabs Lands came to an ugly end in the 20th century.

For some time ESRA members from the Branches in the North of Israel have asked for trips with pick-up ‎points nearer to their homes.
