On the shores of the Kinneret

Join us for a fascinating day trip around the southern shores of the Kinneret, where the stories of Israel’s pioneers, poets, and dreamers come alive amidst stunning landscapes.

Our journey begins at Hatzar Kinneret, one of the earliest communal settlements in the Land of Israel. Walk in the footsteps of pioneers like Rachel the Poetess and Naomi Shemer, and discover how this small courtyard became the birthplace of the kibbutz movement.

We’ll continue to Hurshat Ha’Eucalyptus, the grove immortalized in Naomi Shemer’s beloved song “The Eucalyptus Grove.” Enjoy a stroll among the trees and take in the tranquil beauty that inspired generations of Israeli artists.

From there, we’ll travel through the scenic Schweiz Forest, with its breathtaking views over the Sea of Galilee. This area, planted by the KKL, offers shaded trails, picnic spots, and a quiet connection to nature.

Our final stop will be the Kinneret Cemetery, where pioneers, poets, and visionaries such as Rachel, Berl Katznelson, and Naomi Shemer are buried. Here, we’ll reflect on their legacy and the deep connection between people and land that continues to shape Israel’s story.

Expect a meaningful day filled with history, poetry, and the beauty of the Galilee.
