My Fair Lady
with Louise Stobicki

My Fair Lady:
Frederick Lowe and Alan Jay Lerner masterfully adapted George Bernard Shaw’s play “Pygmalion” to the musical theater. The show “My Fair Lady” opened on Broadway in 1956 and is among the most successful musicals to ever be produced. The universal theme of relationships between men and women and one’s place in society as well as the glorious music and lyrics explain the continuous revivals and international productions of this monumental show.

Louise Stobicki:
Ever since her older sister introduced her to the musical “Oklahoma!” in 1962, Louise has been in love with the American Broadway musical. Throughout the years she has found it to be an excellent way of learning not just about music styles and the workings of the theater, but also about history, lyric writing, character development, emotional expression and dance. She derives great pleasure from sharing what she has discovered with anyone who is willing to listen and is always happy to learn more from others.
