Climate Change - Global Emergency or Fake News
with Jack Shochat and Liel Biran
online via zoom
The earth is in a crisis. There is a 97% consensus among climate scientists that we have entered a period of world-wide climate crisis and that we are on the threshold of the point of no-return. The European Union has already declared a climate emergency, and Israel is situated in one the most vulnerable areas for climate-caused damages.
The speakers will present up-to-date information regarding the situation of the earth, and will present science-based solutions that just may help mankind avoid the worst potential effects.
Jack Shochat is a recently retired project manager for map-based applications (GIS) for such bodies as Israel’s Ministry for Defending the Environment, the City of Tel Aviv, and the U.S. Agency for International development (among others). He is a father and grandfather.
Liel Biran is a science teacher, educator and father to 3 young adults
