Andy Warhol with Kinneret Zohar-Lahav

online via zoom

Andy Warhol was a successful magazine and advert illustrator who went on to become a leading 1960’s pop artist. He explored many art forms including performance art, filmmaking, video installations and writing. His quirky advert writing became known in 1962 when he exhibited the paintings he had done of Campbells soup cans. His small canvas works of art covering many consumer products like Coca Cola bottles, vacuum cleaners and hamburgers brought pop art into the public eye for the first time.

He also painted famous people like Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Mick Jagger and Mao Tse-tung.From Art to pop art, fashion to writing books and making films this man was a larger than life character. Hear his fascinating story brought to life by our lively and highly knowledgable speaker Kinneret Zohar-Lahav.
