ESRA Computer Centers provide free access to computers and innovative instruction in computer skills for underprivileged children, youth and adults helping to close the cultural and educational gap.


English Enrichment in Neve ESRA

Neve ESRA is an afternoon centre for at-risk children aiming to help them with their learning and keep them off the streets.
We are looking for volunteers, preferably professional teachers, who can commit to helping on a regular once a week basis.

Sewing & Embroidery Centers for Ethiopian immigrants

Sewing centers in Netanya (Kiryat Nordau, Neot Shaked, Hefzibah ). Ethiopian immigrants learn to sew on machines, to acquire the skills to make clothing for their families and to integrate into the community.

If you have some sewing skills, or the ability to help with the maintenance of the sewing machines, or you would just like to come along and give moral support (and you know a little Hebrew), one morning a week

English Tutoring Programme

  • Chatting to high school pupils to prepare them for the English Oral Bagrut Examination
  • Helping pupils with their English studies in coordination with the schools' English teachers
  • Tutoring pupils in English who are referred by municipal services

ESRA's 'English Tutoring Program' matches English speaking volunteers with school pupils from Grades 4 to 12 in order to improve their English. Volunteers do not need to be qualified teachers
