who will discuss The Evil Eye and Other Ills: The Roots and Explanations of Folk Beliefs

Born in Israel, Yudit is 9th generation Yerushalmi. Following her IDF service, she travelled to England where she married and completed her academic studies at UCL, Jewish Studies Department.

She has taught for 20 years in formal and non-formal education, inspiring many with her enthusiasm for learning.

The first meeting of the new season took place on 27th October 2010.

Emanuel Marx is a social anthropologist who has studied Bedouin societies in the Negev and in Sinai, a new town in Galilee, and a Palestine refugee camp in the West Bank. His main research interests are nomadic pastoralism, bureaucratic behavior and violence.
