Hefzibah Community Projects, Netanya
Description of the Project :
Volunteers run several non-funded projects in the Hefzibah Community in addition to, and as a result of, the Students Build a Neighbourhood Project.
How the Project Works :
Volunteers undertake to run:
- Evening Study Groups for English conversation for 16 Ethiopian women
- Afternoon English “fun” groups for 11-12 year old Ethiopian children
- Nutrition courses for mothers
- Exercise courses for women
- Individual didactic evaulations
- The art of story-telling at the kindergarten
About the Participants :
The residents of the Hefzibah Community: young working women, older women and men, children.
The Partners :
The Hefzibah Community CenterESRA volunteers who spend wonderful hours with the men, women and children of this vibrant and exciting community.
Additional Information :
The Center opened in September 2008 and since then has grown enormously thanks to the efforts of the community, the volunteers and the programs in the community. ESRA is proud to be a part of this enriching enterprise.
