The official opening of ESRA's Second-hand Bookshop  in Modiin took place on 19th October 2010 attended by Modiin dignitaries, ESRA officers, shop volunteers and others.

“ESRA is very important to Modiin”, said Moish Levy, Deputy Mayor and holder of the Education Portfolio. He was referring to the organization’s significant contribution towards the absorption of new English speaking immigrants through social and volunteering activities in the city, as well as the various projects the amuta supports.
 

ESRA 'Nearly New' Charity Shops 

ESRA’s 'Nearly New’ Shops are central in the lives of many new immigrants, foreign workers, young families and others who have the opportunity to purchase good quality goods at very reasonable prices.
Volunteers collect and sort the stock, organise the shelves and man the shops.

Book Clubs are a wonderful way of widening your literary knowledge and meeting new people. There are currently ESRA book clubs in the following locations:

  “esrabooks”  our Modiin secondhand bookshop,  opened its doors in October 2010 and was officially inaugurated at a Ceremony in the presence of local dignitaries and ESRA officers.

The ESRA Or Akiva bookshop opened in February 2008. Customers will find books on general history and Jewish history, biographies and autobiographies, thrillers and romances, books about cookery,travel, health and psychology; children's books for all ages. Come to browse and come to buy.
