Rishon Lezion
This group was formed in early 2008 covering the area of Rishon Lezion, Nes Ziona and surrounding villages.
Social Evenings are held frequently with speakers on a variety of different topics, as well as a Purim Party and a Book Exchange Evening.
VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITIES
* teaching English in schools to children whose families cannot afford the benefit of private lessons.
* active in the Ethiopian community helping children with homework, and with the 2010 summer programme for 50 Ethiopian children.
* adopting a after-school club for at-risk children, Moadonit 'Ofakim' run by the RIshon le Zion Municipality. We have supplied furniture and games, and organise parties with the children to celebrate birthdays and the Jewish festivals.
* our knitting club meets regularly & in 2010 distributed 150 hand knitted sweaters to local needy children.
