Yom Hashoah talk by Betty Kazin “My Three Mothers”

Yom Hashoah talk by Betty Kazin “My Three Mothers”

Tuesday 30th April 2019 | 11.30 a.m.
VeAhavta Synagogue | 2 Hashmura, Zikhron Yaacov

Two days before Yom HaShoah 2019, Betty Kazin, one of the first ESRA Five Towns committee members, tells her remarkable story of how this little Jewish girl survived the Nazi tyranny of Holland, at huge risk to the family who hid her.  Betty (nèe Rosenbaum) was born in Amsterdam in 1941, to a highly respected and successful family - long established in the Netherlands. Betty has told her story and that of her family at innumerable high schools, ceremonies and official events in Canada, Israel, the United States and the Netherlands, and we are grateful she agreed to tell us about her memories, the fate of her parents and baby brother, and about the family which sheltered her.
