The Herzliya “Students Build a Neighbourhood”  group received a donation of tickets from “Entegris” to visit "Dialogue in the Dark" at the Holon Museum whereby participants are led through completely dark rooms by a blind guide.

In each room the children had to figure out where they were using only the senses of touch and hearing, through rooms simulating a bedroom, a street, a boat, etc. At the end of the tour they sat in a dark coffee shop for a discussion with the tour guide. The teenagers asked questions and conversed with the guide about his life and the world of the blind in general.

This was a fascinating and unique experience where the teenagers, who have their own difficulties, were exposed to a different life experience and understanding of a different kind of disadvantage.
