Project of the Month

These programs allow talented underprivileged teenagers to fulfill their potential by providing them with a challenging program of enrichment and leadership training at the Ruppin Institute of Marine Science. Talented 7th graders from all backgrounds of Israeli society in the lower socio-economic levels are chosen - programs run for 2 years.

ESRA Trip to the Jezreel Valley

ESRA Day ‎Outing to the Jezreel Valley

visiting historic Nahalal and the surrounding areas
On the Programme:
  • Kibbutz Yifat  - Museum of Pioneer Settlement – focusing on the story of the 2nd and 3rd Aliyot in the Jezreel Valley
  • Moshav Nahalal - first workers settlement founded by 80 families during the 2nd Aliyah. Guided by Ofer Avidov, grandson of one of the original settlers. We'll visit the “Slick” (illegal weapons cache) on his family’s property; stroll through the settlement hearing stories and ‎visiting places of interest  including Moshe Dayan’s childhood home; visit the cemetery where Dayan and Ilan Ramon ‎‎(Israel’s first astronaut) are buried
  • nahyok_miniatures.jpgYokneam - The Magical World of Miniatures  – we'll visit the gallery of models created by the 90+ year old artist, ‎Herbert Moshe Samter, fashioned from a mixture of natural and recycled materials. Wander around, wonder at ‎the amazing models and chat with Moshe himself and his daughters. ‎     
  • Coffee on the way – bring or buy breakfast ‎
  • Lunch – at Hutzot Alonim  (Kosher eating available)‎

The trip is only suitable for participants who are in good health and do not need assistance
