ESRA IN TEL AVIV presents a SEMINAR AND TOUR AT BEIT HATEFUSOT on

LANGUAGE AS CULTURE IN THE JEWISH WORLD

During our tour of the Permanent Exhibition we will discuss the function of language in creating culture and community, with special focus on the circumstances that led to the Golden Age of Spain.
In our Seminar, Catriella Freedman, of the International School for Jewish Peoplehood Studies, will focus on the Jewish attitudes to Hebrew and language in general and how these attitudes reflect philosophical and theological perspectives and differences.

In addition, we shall visit the following exhibitions:

OPERATION FINALE – THE STORY OF THE CAPTURE OF EICHMAN
and
THE GAME OF THEIR LIVES – JEWISH ATHLETES PRIOR TO 1948
