The Kristallnacht: Symbolic Turning Point in the History of Nazi Rule
Emanuel Marx is a social anthropologist who has studied Bedouin societies in the Negev and in Sinai, a new town in Galilee, and a Palestine refugee camp in the West Bank. His main research interests are nomadic pastoralism, bureaucratic behavior and violence.
In recent years he has worked on the antecedents of the Holocaust. He is Professor Emeritus at Tel Aviv University.
