Rinna Samuel is a much sought-after ghost writer with clients who included at least 2 Prime Ministers (Golda Meir and Yitzhak Shamir). She was a staffer at TIME, at the NY Times Book Review, and also directed the Public Relations Department of the Weizmann Institute of Science for many years and served as Special Assistant to the Institute's President.

Ricky Friesem, a writer and documentary film-maker, who was Ms Samuel's successor in the latter two positions at the Weizmann Institute, turned to poetry on her own retirement. Her first collection, Parentheses, was awarded First Prize in the Writer's Digest International Book Awards. Her latest collection, Laissez- Passer, was published in October 2009.
