Project of the Month

These programs allow talented underprivileged teenagers to fulfill their potential by providing them with a challenging program of enrichment and leadership training at the Ruppin Institute of Marine Science. Talented 7th graders from all backgrounds of Israeli society in the lower socio-economic levels are chosen - programs run for 2 years.

presents 'The Wandering Jewish Book' : the National Library of Israel and its collections.‎

A lecture by  Daniel Lipson
Daniel will give a brief introduction about provenance of books ‎and Jewish history and give examples of books and ‎manuscripts which have travelled around the world sometimes over ‎many centuries. ‎Among other things Daniel will talk about the Worms Machzor, Rothchild Haggadah, Isaac Newton papers Jewish books looted by the Nazis and other items and collections most of which are in the National Library of Israel.

Daniel is a reference and digital resource librarian at the National ‎Library of Israel where he has worked for the last 5 years.‎
