Alan Gampel made his debut at age 7 playing Beethoven Variations at the Hollywood Bowl. At ‎age 8, he was honoured with the UNICEF Special Award in the Arts and the Presidential ‎Scholars Award awarded by President Reagan, at age 16. Amongst many other awards, he ‎received the coveted Chopin Prize at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in ‎‎1995. ‎

He has performed with many of the world’s foremost orchestras and conductors, and over the ‎past 10 years has performed over 300 informal school recitals for children in France and the ‎USA as part of his initiative to introduce music and the arts to young people.‎
