marine_3.jpgGifted Ethiopian children are taken as part of ESRA Netanya's Program of Excellence, to the Ruppin Marine Science Institute in Michmoret, where they take part in a wonderful course of  'Discovering the World thru' the Sea'.

Denise Susman, coordinator of the Ruppin Marine Science Project, writes "It was such a great afternoon yesterday, that I have to share it with you. The kids, and I, enjoyed it thoroughly.
After a fascinating lecture with slides they went down to the water which they love! I don't stop being amazed at the enthusiastic participation that the kids show at these lectures - they are so  'involved' .

While the boys went out (in relays) in the boat, the girls were taught all about the wind, sails etc. The boys were out too long so the girls were promised that they will have their turn next time - they still had a great experience because the wind was blowing madly and they had fun with the sail."

These photographs were taken mid-May in Michmoret.
