'Bayit Cham' Clubhouses for Girls
Description of the Project :
Two clubhouses in Netanya and Herzliya creating a 'home away from home' in the afternoons for 13-17 year old girls at risk, offering a safe, warm environment of social and counselling activities.
How the Project Works :
NETANYA: The center operates daily Sunday to Thursday from 14:00 – 18:00 throughout the year, staffed by professional social workers.
Counseling, drama, games and activities are given. There are also films and lectures on a variety of topics, the girls have a television and computers in the center.
HERZLIYA: The center operates twice a week from 13:00 – 18:00 throughout the year, staffed by professional social workers.
The house mother cooks meals on the premises so that the girls enter into the welcoming aroma of fresh cooking and baking.

About the Participants :
NETANYA: 30 teenage girls, mainly Ethiopian, some from the FSU.
HERZLIYA: 15 teenage girls from distressed circumstances.

NETANYA: The clubhouse is in the Nordau area - where ESRA has started another Students Build a Neighborhood Project in October 2011.HERZLIYA: The clubhouse is in the Yad Hatisha’a area, where ESRA also manages a 'Students Build a Neighbourhood Project' since 2010.
The Costs :
Professional Staff, Equipment, Meals and Administration.NIS 100 pays for 8 meals for one week.
NIS 500 pays for art therapy for 1 girl for 3 months.
NIS 1000 supports an activity for all the girls for a month.
