Afternoon Kindergarten
Description of the Project :
Offers pre-school children at risk a warm, supportive and caring environment daily.
How the Project Works :
The Center provides a nurturing and stabilizing home away from home. 24 preschoolers receive a hot meal, and work in small groups on enrichment activities, educational games and language development.
About the Participants :
The children, mostly new immigrants from Ethiopia and the FSU, are referred by the municipal Social Services Department A total of 850 immigrant children have participated in ESRA's After School Centers.
The Partners :
The centers are run in co-operation with local and central government, and volunteers.
Additional Information :
Kfar Saba: Currently 24 children, aged 4-6, enjoy the Center, which was opened in 1993
