ESRA Trip to the Palmach Museum - tour in English

(next to the Ha'aretz Museum)

A moving exhibition about the pre-state underground defense organization which was incorporated into the Israel Defense Forces after 1948. The values promoted by the Palmach – mutual responsibility, assistance, sacrifice and contribution to the greater good are legendary in the annuals of local history and society.

Tour of Jaffa Walk through the old city of Jaffa, where Bible stories come alive. Enjoy the alleyways lined with art shops and studios of famous artists. Visit the port, once a gateway to Jerusalem and today filled with fishing boats. Pay a visit to the Flea Market.

Neve Tzedek - before Tel Aviv The first Jewish neighbourhood outside Jaffa, which became the cultural bed of writers and poets. Listen to the stories of the first settlers. Today Neve Zedek is the home of several of Israel’s leading dance companies.
