Mid-Week Hikes


Midweek hike to the Judean Desert 2003

Are you interested in Weekend Hikes?

ESRA's mid-week hikes are designed for those who cannot take part in Shabbat hikes, and for any good walkers who would like to get out and meet new people in fresh air surroundings.
This season our hikes will include easy - moderate walks as well as hard.
Travel is usually by bus if there is a group of more than 30, otherwise in private cars.
Hikers should come properly prepared for each hike: plenty of water (2 litres per person in normal weather, at least 3 litres per person if it's hot), good walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, and food for breakfast and lunch in a backpack. Torch, swimming gear and change of clothes where suitable
N.B. We reserve the right to refuse participation on the hike to any person who does not come properly equipped or is not physically capable of making the distance!!!

There will be a cancellation fee of NIS 20 and we reserve the right to retain the full amount if someone does not turn up for the hike and has not informed us more than 48 hours prior to the hike.

Galilee - Nahal Tzalmon - hiking past the Tzalmon Reservoir then upstream till the Bedouin village of Salame.
First 6kms easy, then moderate ups and downs.

16th October 2008
(Hol Hamo'ed Succot)

Galilee - starting nr Golani Junction, along the scenic route of Bet Keshet, ups and downs and nice views. Then to the village of Shibli or Kibbutz Bet Keshet.
Easy - moderate
(partly shaded) 12+ kms 6-7 hours.
